What to do if...

NO POWER

  1. Check fuses and breakers to see if the outage is caused by a source at your location.
  2. Contact your neighbors to see if the outage is limited or widespread.
  3. Call the Bayard office at 586-1824.
  4. Be ready to give your name, telephone number, and location.
  5. Leave one (1) switch on so you will know when the electricity is on.
  6. Stay away from downed power lines and call CR with information about problems with the lines.
  7. Have emergency supplies on hand (candles, matches, flashlights, etc.).

PARTIAL POWER

Loss of power in certain areas can mean an open breaker or fuse. This is an indication of an overload or defective appliance. When the cause is found you should replace the fuse or reset the breaker. If necessary, seek the help of an electrician (we are not responsible for any problems on the customers side of the meter). If in doubt please call and we will advise you on steps you may need to take.
